You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers

    • You will not get eaten by a bear. 

    • FITM has a lot of safety measures in place to reduce the likelihood of human-bear interactions such as bear boxes to store scented objects and 24-hour security.  Ultimately, it’s up to the FITM community to be as “bear aware” as possible through educating yourselves via our website and taking the bear education course we will provide you. 

  • Yes, water stations will be provided.  However, we highly encourage you to come with lots of water, if possible, to reduce the strain on the festival infrastructure.

  • Food trucks will be available throughout the festival, but please be as self-sufficient as possible and bring enough food with you.

  • Yes, free shuttles will run daily to take you into East Glacier for supplies. They will also transport guests to and from their hotels in East Glacier.

    • VIP ticket holders: Access begins Thursday, July 24, and includes participation in the Grand Entry Procession and the Blackfeet "Welcoming Feed" community meal.

    • GA ticket holders with Premier, Glamping, or RV camping: Access begins Thursday, July 24, with participation in the Grand Entry Procession (Welcoming Feed is for VIP ticket holders only).

    • GA ticket holders with GA camping: Access begins Friday, July 25 at 2:00pm

  • No, fires and charcoal are not allowed for safety and permitting reasons.

  • Yes, hammocks are permitted. Note:

    • General Admission Camping Area is a field with no trees, making hammock setup difficult.

    • Premier Campsites have trees suitable for hammocks.

  • Cooking at FITM Campgrounds is subject to strict safety protocols due to wildfire risk and bear activity. Please read the following guidelines carefully:

    • GA Camping: Only allowed in the designated cooking tent. No personal stoves or fires. No charcoal or campfires allowed. Propane stoves are allowed.

    • Premier Sites: Cooking is allowed at your site. Clean up thoroughly and use bear-safe food storage. No charcoal or campfires allowed. Propane stoves are allowed.

    • Glamping: Cooking setup is TBD — updates coming soon.

    • RV Camping: Cooking is allowed. Clean up and store food responsibly. No charcoal or campfires allowed. Propane stoves are allowed.

    • Yes. You can use any type of propane stove.  Just not charcoal stoves or campfires.  

    • All cooking must be done in the designated cooking areas according to your camping section:

      • GA Camping: Must cook in communal cooking tent.

      • Premier Camping: May cook at campsite using propane stoves only.

      • RV Camping: Cooking is allowed at campsite or RV

      • Glamping: Cooking setup is TBD - Updates coming soon.

  • All food and scented items must be stored in a hard-sided vehicle or FITM-provided storage trucks.

  • The campsite owner can add guest details to their entry pass via the Humanitix website. Registered camp guests can access the site starting Thursday, July 24, at 12:00 PM, and participate in the Grand Entry Procession.

    • Note: Parking at Premier Campsites is limited. Guests may need to park in General Admission parking.
